Work has begun on improving Alexander Heights Shopping Centre.

Our fresh new look is coming!

We’re excited to be working on improving your local neighbourhood centre, with stages expected to be completed between late 2026 to 2027.

The redevelopment will include:

  • A brand new alfresco area, complete with vibrant kids playground
  • Expanded fresh food and dining options
  • Upgrades to the general mall area including new tiling, paint and furnishings
  • A fresh new-look Woolworths Supermarket offering even more choice and convenience, with their Direct-To-Boot service
  • Refreshed and shaded car bays, solar panels, and an upgraded external façade

The centre will remain open throughout the works, with some changes to parking, amenities and access along the way. We appreciate your patience as we write an exciting new chapter in the Alexander Heights story.

We’ll continue to share updates to help you plan your visit and stay informed as progress continues.

Something special will be landing soon in the piazza

The new Alexander Heights playground is almost here.

Our hand-carved kookaburra is perched on the tallest pole, keeping watch over a dual-level Jarrah fort. Its oversized footprints are burnt into the decking, and every step of the spiral stair has been hand-painted in a rustic patina to mirror its feathers.

Then the hunt begins. A whole bush community is hidden in the timber for little hands to find — carved snakes, worms, grubs and gecko, eggs tucked into the poles — along with a gum nut and gum leaf 4-in-a-row game, talking tubes, a double slide, climbing net, rope tunnel and the Kookaburra Cafe, where a hide-and-seek bench sends explorers off to spot each creature around the fort.

Built from local WA Jarrah bushpoles and hand-crafted in O’Connor by Van Ryt Industries. Opening soon — we can’t wait to see it full of kids!
